BrainCandy Daily Contest Overview
The BrainCandy Daily Contest is a free-to-enter, skill-based competition where players compete on a daily featured game. Winners earn SB (BrainCandy points) based on their score, with additional random rewards from loot boxes.
Eligibility
Who Can Enter
- Age: US residents age 18 and older
- State Restrictions: Residents of the following states may NOT participate in cash-redeemable contest portions:
- Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Louisiana, Maine, Montana, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Arizona, Indiana, Maryland, Mississippi
- Account: Must have a valid BrainCandy account created at least 24 hours prior to contest start
- Excluded: BrainCandy employees, contractors, and their immediate family members are not eligible
No Purchase Necessary (AMOE)
IMPORTANT: The BrainCandy Daily Contest is completely free to enter. No purchase is required to participate or win.
Alternate Method of Entry (AMOE)
All participants enter by:
- Creating a free BrainCandy account
- Playing the daily featured game during the contest period (12:00 AM–11:59 PM UTC)
- Your final score in that game determines your contest standing
No purchase of SB, Premium subscription, or any other item is required to compete.
Skill-Based Determination
How Contest Score Is Determined
- Featured Game Selection: Each day, BrainCandy features a specific arcade game announced 24 hours in advance
- Gameplay: All players worldwide play the same game with identical rules and mechanics
- Scoring: Scores are calculated identically for all players (no hidden multipliers or adjustments)
- Leaderboard: Players are ranked by score (highest score wins)
- No Algorithms: There are no algorithmic adjustments, rubber-banding, or AI-controlled opponents that affect outcomes

Loot Box Odds (Publicly Disclosed)
All loot boxes contain cosmetic rewards (profiles skins, game themes). Odds are:
- Gold Loot Box: 40% rare item, 40% uncommon, 20% common
- Silver Loot Box: 20% rare, 50% uncommon, 30% common
- Bronze Loot Box: 10% rare, 40% uncommon, 50% common
Full odds tables are published on Trust & Safety Hub and updated monthly.
Prize Currency (SB)
All prizes are awarded as SB (BrainCandy points). SB:
- Can be redeemed for USD via Stripe Connect (minimum $25 payout threshold)
- Has no value outside official BrainCandy redemption
- Is subject to verification and fraud review before payout
- Cannot be transferred, sold, or traded

Contest Schedule
- Daily Contests: One contest per day (12:00 AM–11:59 PM UTC)
- Announcement: Featured game announced daily by 8:00 PM UTC (previous day)
- Timezone Note: Contest times are in UTC. Please adjust for your local timezone.
- Year-Round: Contests run continuously, every single day
Tax Responsibility
1099 Reporting
If you redeem SB for more than $600 USD in a single calendar year, BrainCandy will issue a 1099-NEC form as required by IRS regulations. You are responsible for reporting this income on your tax return.
Prize Withholding
For prizes redeemed at $600+ annually, BrainCandy may withhold taxes in accordance with applicable law.
Limitations & Disclaimers
No Guarantee of Prize Value
While SB is redeemable for cash through our official process, BrainCandy does not guarantee the future value or redeemability of SB. SB may be modified or discontinued with 30 days' notice.
Void Where Prohibited
The BrainCandy Daily Contest is void and participants from the following jurisdictions are not eligible:
- Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Louisiana, Maine, Montana, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee (for cash redemption)
- Any US territory or non-US jurisdiction not explicitly authorized
- Any jurisdiction where skill-gaming contests are prohibited by law
It is your responsibility to confirm you are in an eligible jurisdiction. Violation of state law is your liability, not BrainCandy's.

Monthly winners' lists are published in the Trust & Safety Hub (first names + initials only, no email or contact info). Winners' full information is kept private.

Dispute Resolution
Any disputes regarding contest rules, scoring, or prizes are governed by the Terms of Service (Section 14), which includes mandatory binding arbitration in [ARBITRATION_VENUE].
Privacy & Data
All contest participants agree to the collection of their gameplay data as outlined in the Privacy Policy. Winner data (name, state) may be retained for legal compliance and IRS reporting (7 years).
Cheat Detection & Enforcement
BrainCandy uses automated telemetry and human review to detect cheating in contests:
- Anomalous play patterns (impossible scores, unnatural play speed)
- Bot use or script injection
- Score manipulation or database tampering
Cheating Penalties:
- First offense: Score reversal, 7-day contest ban, warning
- Second offense: 30-day suspension, payout review
- Third offense: Permanent ban, forfeiture of all prize SB
Changes to Rules
BrainCandy reserves the right to modify contest rules with 7 days' notice. Changes take effect at the start of the next contest period. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of updated rules.
