Our Community Values

BrainCandy is a place for people of all ages to play, compete, and connect through skill-based games. We believe in:

• Respect: Treat other players with kindness and dignity.
• Fair Play: Compete based on skill, not cheating or abuse.
• Safety: Especially for children — we have zero tolerance for exploitation.
• Integrity: Creators earn from genuine gameplay, not manipulation.

What We Expect From You

• Follow all game rules and Terms of Service
• Respect other players' time and experience
• Report abuse or rule violations promptly
• Use your real or authentic username (no impersonation)
• Keep communications appropriate and non-hostile

Prohibited Content & Conduct

Child Safety (Zero Tolerance)

• Any content sexualizing, exploiting, or grooming minors — instant ban, law enforcement notification
• Sharing or soliciting child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form
• Attempting to collect personal information from minors with intent to harm

Hate Speech & Discrimination

• Slurs or hateful language based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
• Calls for violence or discrimination against groups
• Conspiracy theories promoting hate (e.g., antisemitic tropes)
• Enforcement: Warning on first minor offense; temporary suspension on escalation; permanent ban on repeated violations

Harassment & Bullying

• Targeting individuals with threats, insults, or intimidation
• Coordinated harassment ("pile-on")
• Doxxing (sharing someone's personal information without consent)
• Revenge porn or non-consensual intimate images
• Enforcement: Temporary suspension (72 hours–30 days); escalation to permanent ban

Sexual Content

• Sexually explicit language, images, or links in usernames, profiles, or gameplay
• Solicitation of sexual content or favors
• Sexual harassment directed at other players
• Enforcement: Content removal; temporary to permanent suspension

Intellectual Property Infringement

• Uploading copyrighted games, music, art, or code without permission
• Claiming ownership of work created by others
• Enforcement: Game removal; creator account restrictions; DMCA takedown support

Cheating & Game Manipulation

• Using aimbots, wall hacks, speed hacks, or scripts to gain unfair advantage
• Exploiting glitches intentionally
• Bot farming (running automated scripts to artificially inflate scores or earn SB)
• Collusion (teaming up with other players to fix scores unfairly)
• Enforcement: Score/SB reversal; temporary suspension; permanent ban for repeat offenders; payout clawback

Spam & Flooding

• Repetitive, unsolicited messages
• Advertising external websites or services
• Link shorteners or phishing links
• Enforcement: Content removal; account restrictions; muting/banning

Malware & Security Threats

• Distributing viruses, malware, or trojans
• Attempting to compromise BrainCandy systems or other players' devices
• Social engineering attacks (phishing, pretexting)
• Enforcement: Immediate permanent ban; law enforcement notification

Impersonation & Deception

• Pretending to be another player or BrainCandy staff
• Fake news or misinformation designed to deceive
• Running multi-account schemes to evade bans or manipulate contests
• Enforcement: All accounts suspended; SB forfeited; permanent ban

Cheating Detection & Enforcement

Enforcement Process

1. Detection: Automated system flags suspicious activity
2. Human Review: BrainCandy team reviews the case manually before any action
3. Action: Warning, score reversal, temporary suspension, or permanent ban
4. Appeal: Players have 48 hours to appeal to support@braincandy.im
5. Payout Impact: For earnings above $100, we may withhold pending investigation and clawback if cheating confirmed

Kids Zone Safety Rules

Kids Zone has additional protections:

• No Chat: Children cannot message each other or strangers
• No Social Features: No followers, no profile comments, no DMs
• Curated Games: All 11 games hand-reviewed for age-appropriate content
• Parental Controls: Parents can view activity and disable the account at any time
• Strict Moderation: Any violation of Kids Zone rules results in immediate account review

How to Report Abuse

Report a Player

Click the "Report" button on a player's profile or during gameplay. Include:

• Player username
• What happened (date, time, context)
• Type of violation (cheating, harassment, abuse, etc.)
• Screenshots or links if applicable

Response time: 24 hours for urgent safety reports; 7 days for other violations.

Report Inappropriate Content

Found a game, image, or comment that violates these guidelines? Click "Report Content" and describe the issue. We will review within 48 hours.

Report a Creator's Game

If a creator's game contains inappropriate content or violates IP rights, email abuse@braincandy.im with the game name and explanation.

Report Child Safety Concerns

If you believe a child is being exploited or harmed, contact:

• BrainCandy Safety Team: safety@braincandy.im (immediate response)
• National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC): https://www.cybertipline.org
• Local Law Enforcement: Call 911 (US) or your local emergency number

Our Enforcement & Transparency

Response Commitment

• Urgent (child safety, threats, illegal activity): 24-hour response, potential immediate suspension
• Serious (harassment, cheating, abuse): 7-day response
• Routine (spam, minor violations): 14-day response

Appeal & Due Process

If your account is suspended or content removed, you have the right to appeal:

1. Email support@braincandy.im with your account email and appeal reason
2. Explain why you believe the action was a mistake or disproportionate
3. We will review and respond within 7 business days
4. If no resolution, you may escalate to legal@braincandy.im

Transparency Reports

We publish transparency reports (monthly in our Trust & Safety Hub) showing:

• Number of reports received
• Number of accounts banned
• Common violation types
• Response times

Special Cases

Repeat Offenders

A second violation of similar type results in escalated enforcement (longer bans, permanent removal). A third violation may result in permanent account termination and forfeiture of all SB balances.

Ban Circumvention

Attempting to evade a ban by creating new accounts will result in all related accounts being terminated and potential legal action.
